Prabhakar Chitrapu is a Senior Principal Engineer at InterDigital Communications in King of Prussia, PA, where he has worked since 2000. Prior to that, he was at Lockheed Martin and Dialogic Corporation. In these positions, he has contributed to various aspects of 3G/4G Cellular & WLAN Networks and published a book “Wideband TDD” (Wiley 2005), over 30 issued patents, and several research papers.

Steve Cotton’s career in computers and telecommunications began in 1966 and he has conducted business in 30 countries. After serving four years as a business systems programmer in the U. S. Air Force and then earning an MSEE in Communications Systems from Georgia Tech, Steve joined GTE as a telephony switching systems developer and had a successful 11 year tenure there, serving in various positions, including Director of Network Engineering and Vice President of Quality Management at GTE Telenet, culminating as Director of Strategic Planning for GTE Sprint.
Starting in 1985, Steve served in various executive positions for several telecommunications ventures, deploying major billing teleprocessing systems throughout the RBOCs, cellular and PCS companies, as well as leading the development of a comprehensive wireless billing/customer care/POS system deployed worldwide. Steve has been operating a strategic management consulting practice since 1993 and was engaged by the IPDR organization from its inception until August of 2007 as Editor-in-Chief, responsible to the Board of Directors for all technical program activities of the organization.
Steve served on the staff of the TM Forum during the integration of the IPDR Organization into the Forum. Steve joined the TM Forum in July 2010 as Head of Revenue Management, leading Collaborative R&D across the entire Enterprise Management subject area, including Asset Management, Enterprise Risk Management, Fraud Management, Revenue Assurance, as well as operational areas such as Billing and Charging, Customer Experience, Data Analytics, and Supplier/Partner Cost Management. Roger was the Senior Vice President, Head of Research and Insights for the Telecom Practice of The Nielsen Company from the beginning of 2009 to the end of 2010. Roger was responsible for advancing the research and thought leadership position of The Nielsen Company in the world of telecommunications. In early 2007, Roger joined IAG Research as Senior Vice President, Communications Sector and was part of the senior leadership team when IAG Research was acquired by The Nielsen Company in April 2008.
Roger was responsible for helping telecommunications providers to improve the effectiveness of their advertising expenditures. Building on IAG’s traditional strength in television advertising, Roger was involved in several successful engagements expanding IAG’s traditional television advertising effectiveness measurement to radio, the Internet, and mobile advertising.
Prior to joining IAG Research, Roger was Vice President, Telecom for Ovum. Roger launched the North American coverage for Ovum and was able to establish Ovum as one of the leading telecom research providers in North America. Before joining Ovum, Roger headed the wireless carrier research group at the Yankee Group. During his time at the Yankee Group, Roger also designed, built, and commercially launched the first of the Yankee Group’s quantitative research products that seamlessly combined historic data with forecasts.

Bruce Franca is Vice President of Science and Technology at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB). The NAB is the trade association for radio and television broadcasting. Before joining NAB, Mr. Franca was Vice President of Policy and Technology for the Association for Maximum Service Television, Inc. (“MSTV”), a national association of over 500 television stations dedicated to promoting local over-the-air television service. NAB and MSTV merged in June 2011.
Before joining MSTV in 2007, Mr. Franca was Chief of the FCC’s Office of Engineering and Technology (OET).
Mr. Franca joined the FCC in 1974 as an engineer in the Aviation and Marine Division of the Safety and Special Radio Services Bureau (now Wireless Telecommunications Bureau). He has held positions in the Office of Plans and Policy and the Mass Media Bureau. He joined the Office of Engineering and Technology as Deputy Chief in 1987.
While at the FCC, he was awarded Chairman’s Special Achievement Award in 1996 for his work in Digital Television (DTV) and the development of the DTV Table. He also led the FCC’s technical efforts in the development of the Direct Broadcast Satellite (DBS) and Personal Communications (PCS) Services. He was awarded the FCC’s Gold Medal for Meritorious Service in 2005. He received the E. Noel Luddy Award from the Association of Federal Communications Consulting Engineers (AFCCE) in 2009.
He is a graduate of Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York, and has done graduate work in electrical engineering at the George Washington University in Washington, DC.

Tom Jasny, VP, Wireless & Broadband Network Systems, joined Samsung Telecommunications in April 2005, to lead Samsung’s Wireless and Broadband Networks efforts in the US.
He has 26 years of technology experience, including wireline, broadband, and wireless infrastructure and device business. Jasny recently led Samsung’s efforts to support the Sprint Network Vision project, resulting in Samsung’s selection as a supplier for Sprint’s national network upgrade. He has also been involved in LTE new business development in the US. Previously, he led Samsung’s Mobile WiMAX effort in the US, resulting in Samsung’s selection as primary supplier for the Sprint/Clearwire 4G network. Jasny also helped launch multiple new products in the US, including Samsung’s industry-first CDMA femtocell product with Sprint and Verizon. For the past two years, Jasny has led Convergence Business Development activities, an initiative to connect, share content, and share user experience across Samsung’s consumer electronics and telecommunications device portfolio.
Jasny has held various positions within Nortel Networks, Siemens, and VocalData, a Tekelec company. He came to Samsung from VocalData, a provider of hosted Internet Protocol (IP) telephony applications, delivering advanced telecom services and applications to business and residential customers.
Jasny has been in key leadership roles since 1993 when he assumed VP responsibilities for Nortel Sales and Customer Services organization, designing and building a total sales organization including customer and supplier contracts, marketing operations, program management, installation and field service. In 1995 he assumed the role of VP, Sales and Service for Siemens Wireless Terminals. For the next three years Jasny led an organization that sold GSM and CDMA handsets to North American and Asian operators.
In 1998 Jasny was recruited back to Nortel where he assumed P&L responsibility for all Nortel product and account activities for the Sprint PCS national network. In 1999, he assumed P&L responsibility for all Nortel product lines sold to the major national and regional emerging wireless carriers.
Jasny has an MBA from Vanderbilt University and is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is a Board member of the Open Patent Alliance, a recent member of the Board of Directors of WCAI and is a former Board Member of the Heard Museum and the Boys and Girls Clubs.

Mr. Kilbourne is currently Deputy General Counsel at the Utilities Telecom Council (“UTC”) where he provides legal guidance to utilities on telecommunications issues both pending before federal and state agencies and being considered in Congress.
UTC is the national representative on telecommunications matters for its electric, gas and water utilities and natural gas pipeline company members, which range in size from large combination electric-gas-water utilities which serve millions of customers, to smaller, rural electric cooperatives and water districts which serve only a few thousand customers each.
Prior to joining UTC in October 1998, Mr. Kilbourne was employed at BellSouth Corporation from 1994-1998 in its Washington, D.C. office where he assisted the legal department on a variety of common carrier, wireless and cable issues. He was also employed at the law firm of Baker & Hostetler from 1991-1994 where he assisted the communications practice, primarily on broadcast and cable television matters. Vicki Livingston is the Head of Communications and Analyst Relations for 4G Americas and supports the organization’s mission to provide a unified voice for the 3GPP family of technologies and its ecosystem – including networks, applications, services and connected devices – throughout the Americas. In her role, she manages all communications, media and analyst relations for the association as well as strategic planning, and supervises a team responsible for public relations and conferences. Ms. Livingston has over 20 years experience in public relations and marketing, strategizing and executing the launch of seven new companies or international brands throughout her career, including two wireless companies, 3G Americas and now 4G Americas.
In the wireless industry, Ms. Livingston served as the Marketing Consultant of Telecorp PCS during the launch of their service in the Wisconsin market. Additionally, she was Director of Marketing for Industar Digital PCS, with full responsibility for the launch of Industar’s service including public relations, customer service, new product development processes, pricing strategy and advertising.
Other career experiences include her role as Director of Business Development for one of the largest business-to-business advertising agencies in the U.S. and Public Relations and Development Consultant to not-for-profit organizations. She began her career as Marketing Manager for Miller Brewing Company, a subsidiary of Philip Morris, Inc. where she first became involved in brand development, market segmentation and supported the launch of the Lite beer brand.
Ms. Livingston is an active volunteer having served on Boards of Directors including the Arthritis Foundation, AFS and Easter Seals (Past President). She is active at her church in a variety of volunteer roles and is currently an AFS host parent for a high school student from Norway. She has been a supporter of the mission of peace and understanding for AFS in many ways beginning with her own high school scholarship as an exchange student to New Zealand.

McIntyre also spent 11 years at General Electric, working in a variety of technical management positions. He also participated in General Electric’s General Management Development Program.
McIntyre holds a Bachelor of Science in Metallurgy and Materials from Carnegie Mellon University. Dr. Hideo Okinaka is Vice President and General Manager of Emerging Technologies and Spectrum Division at KDDI Corporation and responsible for industry and government relations on technology matters including investigation into emerging technologies, standards strategy, bridging the valley between standardisation and implementation, and spectrum affairs. Prior to assuming the current role in April 2006, he was responsible for the corporate level technology strategy as Vice President and General Manager of Strategic Technology Management Division. Until March 2004, he had been working on the cellular telephone business since 1991, including business development strategy for the KDDI’s “au” business unit as Vice President, the Japanese TDMA and IMT-2000 system development, and licence bidding in offshore markets. Prior to this, he spent 14 years for R&D primarily on the satellite communication system engineering with particular emphasis on mobile satellite systems at KDD and Inmarsat.
He currently serves on the Board of Directors of WiMAX Forum. He was the Chair of 3GPP2 Steering Committee in 2003-2004 term and also served as the Chair of 3GPP2 TSG-S, Services and Systems Aspects working group, from its foundation in 1999 till January 2001. He was also a member of the Board of Directors of Mobile Wireless Internet Forum (MWIF) during the entire period of its life.
Dr. Okinaka received Morita Prize and Achievement Award from the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communications Engineers of Japan for his contribution to the development of digital mobile satellite communication systems. He was also praised by Recognition Award from the ITU Association of Japan for his contribution to the 3G mobile system standardisation. Before joining Yankee Group, Ken served as a strategic marketing director for Alcatel-Lucent and as a wireless infrastructure analyst at Current Analysis. Prior to joining Current Analysis, Ken served as director of product management at Megisto Systems, Inc., a startup equipment vendor producing next-generation data gateway solutions for GSM and UMTS networks. At Megisto, he led the product management staff to define the product and provide support for the sales staff in the field. Before that, Ken worked at Visual Networks as an ATM product line manager as well as a member of the CTO’s staff. In addition to Visual Networks, his professional career has included software development and architectural design for X.25 packet switching, frame relay, and network management technologies while at GTE Telenet, Sprint and Netrix.
Ken has served as the editor of several Frame Relay Forum Implementation Agreements and IETF standards track RFCs, and he holds a patent for Frame Relay and ATM service management mechanisms. He publishes in leading industry publications and frequently speaks at industry conferences as well as vendor and operator briefings. In addition to publishing opinions on trends and the competitive positions of vendors supplying solutions, Ken provides consulting and training to operators, vendors and enterprises. He holds a B.A. from the University of Maryland.

In addition, Swain oversaw the successful transition of company policies and procedures to reflect the business model of the new shareholder group, America Movil. Prior to his CEO position, he was COO of Comcel from August 1998 through November 2000. During this period, Swain managed operations through Colombia’s worst recession in 67 years, eventually delivering savings that pushed EBITDA margins to their highest level yet (from 26 percent in 1998 to 29 percent in 2000). Before joining Comcel, he worked for more than 20 years in several different positions within the Bell Canada organization. Swain’s previous work included positions in the office of the president, financial modeling, strategic and corporate planning, and gateways. He is the chairman of the board of the Colombia-Canadian Chamber of Commerce and member of the boards of CallYou (a Colombian Call Center), Revista Numero (a cultural magazine) and IQ Outsourcing (a provider of outsourcing services to the finance industry). Iyad Tarazi

Iyad Tarazi, Vice President of Network Development & Engineering, is responsible for the development and integration of new products and technologies within Sprint’s wireless and wire line networks and for the engineering of the RF and core networks. He is also responsible for managing Sprint Nextel’s technology Integration labs. Iyad oversees an operating budget of $500M and a capital budget of approximately $1.5B. Iyad has been with Sprint Nextel since 1998.
Prior to the Sprint Nextel merger, Iyad provided leadership to Nextel’s Network Engineering department. His responsibilities included network planning, integration, performance engineering, testing and deployment for Nextel’s core network consisting of forty-seven Metropolitan Switch Offices. Iyad was also responsible for Nextel’s inter-MSO transport network, the data network and service layer network applications. Network Engineering activities include design, planning, engineering, integration and vendor management.
Prior to Nextel, Iyad held progressive management and senior management positions with MCI where he was responsible for planning and implementing MCI’s switching, signaling and optical network architecture for both local and long distance networks.
Since assuming, from its inception, the role of Nextel’s Vice President of Network Engineering in 1999, he has been the chief engineer of building and evolving the organization, the core Nextel network, and its support infrastructure. Iyad has a broad background in financial and capital management and all aspects of engineering, planning, and design for both wire line and wireless networks.
Iyad received his BSEE from the University of Maryland and holds a Master’s of Science in Engineering Management from Southern Methodist University.
Iyad has become an avid runner and for the past three years he has run and finished the Marine Corps Marathon in Washington DC in addition to many other races. While he appreciates golf and strives to get better, his golf game is best described as a work in progress.

He started his career with British Airways were he worked for 8 years as an Avionics engineer in the Helicopter division. He joined Motorola in 1988 were he initially worked on the roll out of the Cellnet analogue followed by the roll out of some of the first GSM networks in Europe. In 1996 Ian left Motorola to join Silicon Valley startup InterWAVE Communication Inc., where he was involved in the development of a new generation of GSM products for Corporate and Emerging markets. In 1997, in agreement with interWAVE, Ian transferred to ADC Microcellular Systems as Head of Product Management and played a key roll driving the in-building corporate solution with key customers such as BTCellnet and Tmobile. After the trade sale of the company to InterWAVE Communications in 2000, Ian relocated to California where he headed up InterWAVE’s Product Management Group with responsibility for both the GSM and CDMA product lines. When Altobridge spun out its maritime business to form Blue Ocean Wireless, Ian was seconded to BOW as CTO where he successfully rolled out and launched the world’s first merchant maritime GSM service.

Dave Williams
Chief Technology Officer, Stoke
Dave is responsible for guiding Stoke’s technology direction and long-term business development strategy with top tier mobile broadband carriers worldwide and also directs Stoke’s participation in telecoms and technology standards bodies.
He joined Stoke from Comcast, the world’s largest cable operator, where he was Senior Vice President of Wireless Technology. Prior to Comcast, Williams was CTO at O2 Telefonica Europe from 2003 to 2008 and previously with Cingular as Vice President, Strategic Planning. Before Cingular, Williams held roles with SBC, Orange and Vodafone.
He has served on the boards of industry associations including the Femto Forum, the Wimax Forum and the GSM Association.

Ken Wirth
President, E2E Network Solutions, Alcatel-Lucent
Ken Wirth leads Alcatel-Lucent’s End-to-End (E2E) Network Solutions organization. He is responsible for the company’s E2E LTE solution as well as broader wireless and wireline network transformation solutions. This includes systems engineering, architecture, design, end-to-end testing and certification, device management, solution delivery, customer and sales support.
Prior to this appointment, Ken served as the Customer Unit leader for a major U.S. Carrier. In this capacity, he was responsible for representing all products, solutions, applications and services from across the business, and partnering closely with the customer to address their business requirements.
Previously, Ken was President of the Lucent’s Multimedia Network Solutions organization where he had responsibility for the financial and business performance, strategy, product marketing, product management, technology and development across the access, data and optical networking segments. Prior to that, he was President of Lucent’s Optical Networking Group. Ken has held various management, marketing and sales assignments at AT&T and Lucent, including an assignment as Chief Financial Officer for AT&T Network Systems’ Access Products Group.
Ken joined AT&T in 1987 after launching his career with ITT Communication Services Group, where he was responsible for sales of telecom services to corporate accounts in the north-eastern and southern regions of the United States.

With 20+ years experience in marketing strategy and development positions in software and IT, Yossi Zohar currently holds the position of Amdocs’ Customer Management Marketing Director and his responsibilities include defining and driving market strategy, market awareness and positioning for Amdocs’ contact center, retail and self service solutions. Yossi joined Amdocs 13 years ago and held a variety of marketing roles for Amdocs’ Customer Management group, including playing a key role in Amdocs’ acquisition of Clarify from Nortel Networks in 2001, driving the integration of Clarify CRM and Amdocs’ Billing product lines following this acquisition and later on rolling out new CRM solutions such as Amdocs Smart Agent Desktop, Amdocs Self Service, Amdocs Retail Experience and Amdocs Multichannel Selling.
