What is the official name of the show?
The official name of the show is 4G WORLD 2011.

What does 4G World cover?
4G World examines the business & technical challenges of 4G network evolutions, including the roles of mobile WiMAX, WiFi, HSPA and LTE technologies, and the rollout of new mobile internet services and applications.

What are the exhibit hours?
Tuesday, October 25: 12 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Wednesday, October 26: 12 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Thursday, October 27: 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

What are the conference hours?
Monday, October 24: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Tuesday, October 25: 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Wednesday, October 26: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Thursday, October 27: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Is there coffee and food for attendees?
There is a Gourmet Coffee stand located near the Internet Café.  Food courts will be open during lunch hours.

Are there any cocktail receptions?
Yes.  If your company is interested in sponsoring a cocktail reception at 4G World, please contact John Sellazzo at jsellazzo@yankeegroup.com

How do I find out who is exhibiting?
The exhibitor list can be found on your website starting in June.

What awards programs are offered at 4G World?

How much is registration, and is there an advantage to early registration?
There are early bird specials offering significant savings for 4G World.  Registration pricing and packages can be found here.

How can I attend 4G World for free?
You can register for a free Expo Pass online before September 30, 2011.  Register for your free Expo Pass here.

What is the cancellation policy for conference registration?
Cancel before August 31, 2011, and receive your registration fee, minus a $50 processing fee.  There will be no refunds for cancellations after August 31, 2011. Substitutions from your company are allowed. If you cancel and do not select a replacement from your company, you will receive a credit in the amount of the cancellation toward attendance at any Yankee Group conference through December 31, 2012.

Should I wait to book my hotel so that prices will go down?
No. Limited hotel rooms are available at our special discounted group rate.  Please book hotel rooms in advance to guarantee your choice location.  For more information on our preferred hotels, click here.

What if my preferred hotel is sold out?

Registration and Badges:

What are the requirements for attending 4G World?
You must register in order to attend. Register here.

Can students attend 4G World?
Yes, students receive a special discount by providing a copy of their student ID. Please inquire here: jharvey@yankeegroup.com

Can children and/or spouses attend 4G World?
4G World 2011 attendees must 18 years of age or older.

I missed the advance registration deadline – Can I register on-site?
Yes, you can register/pay on-site.  Payment methods:
Credit cards accepted: AMEX, MasterCard, VISA and Discover
Cash is also accepted on-site only.

I registered for 4G World.  Where’s my badge?
You can pick up your badge at the Registration desk.

If I have a badge, can I walk right into the show?
Your individual badge will represent your appropriate registration type. This will indicate which part of the event you will be allowed to attend.

What type of identification will I need to pick up my badge?
Driver’s Licenses, passports, or business cards are all suitable identification for badge pickup.

I do not want to wait in long lines to get into the show.  What should I do?
Please visit our “Scan and Print” registration line, as these lines tend to move quickly. You must be pre-registered and have your printed confirmationwith you to use these lines on-site.

Show Logistics and Getting Around:

How do I find my way around?
4G World 2011 will be held in the North and South Buildings at McCormick Place. Venue maps will be available at the Front Desk at all preferred hotels, as well as at the 4G World 2011 Information and Registration desks.

How do I rent a scooter/wheelchair?
There are a limited number of wheelchairs available at McCormick Place. They are available on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information, please contact McCormick Place Security at +1-312-808-2852.

Are suitcases and strollers allowed on the show floor?
No. Suitcases can be stored in the Coat Check area, located in the Registration area.  This is free of charge.

Are cameras allowed on the show floor?
Yes.

Where can I check my bags?
Coat check is located in the Registration area. This is free of charge.

Where can I grab a quick lunch?
Cafeteria areas are located in the North Building.

How do I gain admittance to any or all of the keynote addresses?
To attend all keynotes at 4G World 2011, you must register for a 4-Day Full Conference Pass.
