Chris Horne
Chris Horne serves as Chief Technical Officer of LBA Group, Inc. who provides consulting, test, project management and design services in communication systems.
Horne is responsible for all engineering activities in cellular, broadcast engineering, broadband radio services (BRS), FCC compliance as well as test and measurement products. Previously Horne was Engineering Manager for North State Communications in wireless planning and development. Chris was a Sr. Applications Engineer for RF Micro Devices supporting customers with technical issues involving CDMA and GSM phone system design.
Chris was also with BellSouth Mobility as an RF Engineer optimizing the first PCS radio network in the southeast. At BellSouth Chris managed the RF Safety Program and conducted training programs on site planning and optimization. Chris has prepared FCC applications, performed interference studies and system design for BRS. Chris has extensive experience in antenna systems, Distributive Antenna Systems (DAS) and radio over fiber (RoF). The author of several publications, Chris holds the Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from N.C. A&T State University and the M.S.E.E. from N.C. State University and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the states of North Carolina, Illinois and Arkansas.
