Dr. Serge Manning has spent over 17 years in telecommunications playing many roles ranging from architecture development and technology evaluation to technical standards. He was a standards pioneer in core networks for cdma2000 and WiMAX, and also involved in LTE packet core and IMS/SIP standards serving for many years on both on the equipment provider and service provider sides. In his latest role at the Huawei US Research Center, he is the North American Standards Prime for Cloud Computing technologies. Here his mission is to help form standards strategies so that Huawei can enable telecom providers to integrate modern Information Technology into their communications services. He is currently focused on standards for Cloud interoperability, portability, and management
