Edgar Figueroa
Under Edgar’s leadership the Wi-Fi Alliance has led an unprecedented period of market growth. Edgar defined the Wi-Fi Alliance program development framework, and forged a number of partnerships and programs to facilitate the penetration of Wi-Fi into mass markets.
Previously, Edgar was involved in telepresence product strategy at Ridgeway Systems (now Tandberg). He also held product management and engineering roles at 3M Company. He is a veteran of the United States Navy, and has taught at the University of Texas and at Austin Community College. Edgar is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin.
He holds a Masters in Technology Commercialization, and undergraduate degrees with honors in Mechanical Engineering and Mathematics.
