Michael Montemurro
Michael Montemurro is the Technical Director responsible for WLAN Architecture at Research in Motion. He is a currently the chair of the Hotspot 2.0 Marketing Task Group in the Wi-Fi Alliance, which is responsible for defining a certification program for next generation Wi-Fi Hotspots. He obtained his Ph.D. in 1993 from the University of Toronto. His professional experience includes architecture and design of wireless data and networking solutions using RF technologies such as 802.11 and Bluetooth, as well as extensive knowledge of IP networking over a variety of network technologies.
