A conversation about NFC typically defaults to a conversation about card emulation and payment models. While revenue can be generated from NFC payment applications, there is real potential in many other modes. Is the lack of non-payment NFC use cases a lack of knowledge or a lack of imagination? Is NFC, as has often been said, “a solution looking for a problem”? This session will consider both questions and will examine a variety of possibilities for non-payment applications.
