Policy Management in 4G Customer Experience — Creating the Network of the Future

Traffic and policy management is emerging as the key to unlocking latent network potential. Exponential growth in data and video traffic continues to put pressure on network capacity. LTE will dramatically increase capacity, but early deployment experience suggests this may be offset by a corresponding increase in average user data traffic. Effective policy management mechanisms can enable fair use traffic management while supporting the introduction of tiered service offerings and value-added services such as network optimization, smart caching, parental control and, ultimately, real-time personalization of the user’s service experience.

During this session, industry experts will discuss the current state of policy management standards and products and the role they will play in evolving networks.
