Traditional ways of securing contactless acceptance/card systems will not effectively scale to enable new mobile NFC services. Legacy authentication capabilities typically have been tied to individual applications and were not designed to be used in multi-application environments, which are a strength of NFC services. This session will describe the role of a common authentication infrastructure in scaling to secure NFC services, and the key attributes that must be in place to successfully support NFC rollouts in critical vertical markets, such as retail and healthcare.
