This session will clarify the essential elements of base stations, making it easy to understand wireless infrastructure extending from macrocells to USB dongles and from traditional towers to residential light posts—with connectivity ranging from fiber to over-the-air backhaul. Covering base station anatomy (and acronyms) spanning PHY to SON and everything in between, the session will also illuminate key industry players and the base station ecosystem while explaining how product development is evolving from vertically integrated “big iron” to horizontally diverse form factors and deployment approaches.
