J. Andrew (Andy) Capener is Director of Marketing for Service Provider Mobility at Cisco, where he is responsible for the go-to-market positioning and communications of solutions for global mobile operators.
Andy joined Cisco through the Starent Networks acquisition in December 2009. At Starent, Andy served as a vice president in marketing overseeing communication activities for the fast growth, wireless data company.
In his past leadership roles, Andy oversaw the solutions marketing team for 3Com Corporation’s Carrier Systems Group, while also directly managing marketing of its wireless data offering. Prior to 3Com, Andy was responsible for Asia Pacific marketing at U. S. Robotics, helping to extend its reach into international markets. He also held senior marketing positions with Megahertz Corporation, the market leader in PC Card modem technology.
Andy has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications, with a Minor in Japanese from the University of Utah.
