Associate Product Line Director

Mohamed Awad is associate product line director for NFC products at Broadcom Corporation and is a member of the NFC Forum Board of Directors. At Broadcom, Mohamed is responsible for driving strategy and marketing for the company’s NFC products.
Prior to joining Broadcom, Mohamed co-founded Ember Europe, where he brought ZigBee to the EMEA region, and served as a director on the ZigBee Alliance board. He has also held various marketing, business development and engineering management roles for several semiconductor and networking companies, including Avici Systems, Lucent Technologies, and Nortel Networks.
Mohamed holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Computer Science with a concentration in Data Communications from the University of Massachusetts and has mastered advanced Data Communications course work from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
