Mohammad Khan is the president of ViVOtech, the near field communication (NFC) software and systems company, that enables rich mobile commerce solutions for in-store payment, loyalty, marketing, and merchandising.
Under Khan’s leadership ViVOtech has grown from its beginnings as the inventor of the first contactless credit card terminals to become the top provider worldwide of smart applications for enhancing the customer experience, wallet and trusted service manager (TSM) software, and point of sale systems that are making NFC mCommerce a reality.
Before founding ViVOtech in 2001, Khan held several engineering, marketing, and business development management positions with VeriFone, where he was instrumental in the development of the company’s payment automation systems, including smart card and security payment products he created, and later successfully marketed in more than 96 countries. Khan also co-founded VeriFone’s Internet Commerce Division where he was responsible for expansion of its Internet payment systems business into more than 25 countries.
Khan holds a master’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
