Peter Carson is Senior Director, Product Management for Qualcomm, responsible for the semiconductor (QCT) division’s roadmap and market development for cellular and modem technologies and infrastructure products. He also plays a key role in the development of new business opportunities and ASIC marketing programs for next generation modem technologies at Qualcomm.
Dating back to the initial launch of cellular in the U.S., Mr. Carson has more than 25 years of mobile wireless experience, spanning both the carrier and technology sides of the industry. Prior to joining Qualcomm, Mr. Carson was a member of the initial executive management team at Flarion Technologies, which he helped launch prior to its acquisition by Qualcomm. While at Flarion, Mr. Carson was instrumental in the formation of the IEEE’s 802.20 standards Work Group. Before Flarion, Mr. Carson was vice president marketing and business development at ArrayComm, a pioneer in multiple antenna processing technologies. Earlier, Mr. Carson served as director of marketing and product management for ADC Telecommunications, where he helped launch the company’s wireless systems business.
Previously, over the span of eight years, Mr. Carson held several key domestic and overseas management positions at NYNEX Mobile (now Verizon Wireless).
