Tom Thomassen is a Senior Development Manager in the Office of the CTO at Symantec Corporation. Tom is responsible for several cross-company technical initiatives as well as Green and Smart Grid standards. He is the Symantec representative for several Green IT and Smart Grid standards bodies including the NIST SGIP and the OpenSG where he is a participant in several of the Technical Working Groups. Tom has 20 years of technical experience at several technology companies including Sun Microsystems, iPlanet, Veritas and Symantec.
Tom has a Bachelors degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from CSU Long Beach, and an MBA from UC Berkeley.
